CREATIVE INDUSTRY
The Creative Industries SME Export Incubator focusses on:
Mentorship which includes training regards Financial Management (forecasting, cash flow, budgeting), Selling skills (e-commerce, negotiating, client service) and finding new markets (identifying suitable international markets of entry).
Basic and intermediary export training including Export documentation, Incoterms, Insurance (Marine and Credit), Agents and Distributors, Customs Requirements, Pricing, Financing and Payments.
- For the Animation Training Sector, specific training includes business landscape and trends to watch, script development, all aspects of production along with the technicalities of distribution and the promotion of all work produced.
- For the Gaming training sector, specific training includes revenue models for sustainability, budgeting for production, raising capital from publishers/investors and working with distributors for best results.
- For the Fashion, Jewellery and Crafts sector, specific training includes pricing for international markets, labelling and barcoding, editing/coaching on export collections and includes participation in fashion week and exhibitions, showrooms and pop-ups.
The programme includes (for all sectors) a ‘how to’ workshop on conducting a market research study to identify suitable markets based on HS codes, Free Trade Agreements and other determining factors.
JCCI/GBA has a strong partnership with Department of Trade and Industry where all the international trade pavilions and trade shows are offered to qualifying SMEs in the programme with several DTI incentives.
SMEs are also invited to all the international trade events offered by JCCI and given a platform to engage globally and form partnerships and joint ventures.
